Strengthening the child rights movement
Whether UNICEF is calling upon us to provide child protection training, or a local NGO is seeking innovative methods to facilitate experiential learning, Shaishav serves as a hub for resources related to child rights, education and development. For the past thirty years, we have provided trainings and resources at the international, national, and state level contributing to a child-friendly society everywhere.
Networking
We conduct networking and advocacy at every level, including children in every step of the way. Shaishav is an active contributor to many state level and national networks. The primary objective of such alliances is to sensitise the policy makers to the specialised needs of marginalised children, to make them aware of child rights, and to motivate them to develop and implement child-friendly policies.
Resource development
Shaishav has produced a wide range of resources for child rights training and capacity building. This includes different training materials for facilitators, short films and educational material for children. Our materials are unique in that they are cost effective, adaptable to the different needs of children, and are hands-on so that children learn by doing. We also have a team of master trainers who can be called upon for further training and guidance on child development.
