Our work spans urban slums in Bhavnagar and tribal regions in Narmada district, with a focus on holistic, child-centric development through play-based and participatory approaches.

A democratic, membership-based collective run by children, for children. Balsena creates safe spaces for self-expression, leadership, and collective action across schools and communities.
Aaranyak – Holistic Education for Tribal Children (Dediyapada, Narmada)
An experiential education programme integrating academics with life skills to build confidence, leadership, and self-reliance among tribal children.
Child Rights Training & Resource Centre (CRTRC)
A repository of field-tested, child-focused resources developed over 30+ years, aimed at strengthening organisations and practitioners working with children.
About the Role
The Manager – Documentation & Curriculum Development (CRCTC) will play a critical role in building Shaishav’s knowledge ecosystem. This role focuses on developing high-quality learning resources, documenting field practices, and designing training content on child rights and related themes.
You will work closely with the leadership team to strengthen Shaishav’s position as a resource organisation by creating impactful content, supporting research and evaluation, and enabling knowledge sharing across stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Lead the writing, editing, design, and translation of organisational documents, reports, and knowledge products
- Document field practices, case studies, and learning from programmes
- Develop structured repositories of Shaishav’s tools, curricula, and resources
- Curriculum & Content Development
- Design training modules and resource materials on child rights, life skills, gender, adolescent empowerment, and mental health
- Adapt and contextualise content for diverse stakeholders including children, educators, and community members
- Ensure all content aligns with participatory and child-centric approaches
- Training & Capacity Building
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops for internal teams and external stakeholders
- Support capacity building of organisations and practitioners through SETU initiatives
- Research, Monitoring & Evaluation (MEL)
- Design and implement action research studies and learning assessments
- Develop data collection tools and support field data collection
- Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to generate insights and reports
- Translate findings into actionable recommendations and programme improvements
- Donor Reporting & Proposal Development
- Prepare quarterly, half-yearly, and annual donor reports in collaboration with leadership
- Support proposal writing and development of concept notes for new initiatives
- Networking & Advocacy
- Build and maintain relationships with like-minded organisations, networks, and institutions
- Contribute to collaborative initiatives, knowledge sharing, and advocacy efforts at state and ntional levels
- Communications & Outreach
- Support dissemination of knowledge products through social media, website, and other platforms
- Create engaging content to highlight programme insights and impact
- Volunteer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Identify and engage volunteers and experts who can contribute to content, training, and research
- Coordinate with diverse stakeholders to strengthen programme reach and impact
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Graduate in any field (Postgraduate preferred in Social Work, Education, Development Studies, or related fields)
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in documentation, curriculum development, or training (preferably in child rights/life skills sector)
- Language: Exceptional proficiency in English (written and verbal); Hindi required; Gujarati preferred
- Skills:
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Experience in curriculum design and training facilitation
- Ability to analyse and synthesise complex qualitative and quantitative data
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills

Compensation
₹3.6 – ₹5.0 lakh per annum (CTC), commensurate with experience
