Child Rights Training Resource Centre (CRTRC)

The Child Rights Training and Resource Centre (CRTRC) is at the moment a part of our organisation that is responsible for training, documentation, research, advocacy, networking and other related activities. In the near future we hope to be able to provide a  permanent space for the CRTRC which will provide community groups with the highest level of support, material and training resources in order to ensure that our work is sustained.

The centre will serve both to support and strengthen the many educational programs that Shaishav and other similar organisations already have in place, as well as to develop and expand our collective capacities.

  1. Materials Development – We will produce various teaching and learning materials, books, brochures, and audiovisual materials related child rights that can be used by children, parents, teachers and society at large.
  2. Resources and Training – We will provide resources and training for child rights and educational issues to adults and children in particular.
  3. Process Standardisation and Documentation – We will document our methodology and techniques in manual format to share it with others and thus replicate.
  4. Research – We will conduct action research on topics relevant to children and their rights.

While these various works are already underway, we need a space where we can formalise these activities.

Child Rights Training and Resource Centre (CRTRC) is a permanent space which will provide community groups with the highest level of support, material and training resources in order to ensure that our work is sustained.

We believe in the principle of collaboration and promotion of collective social responsibilities for bringing about social change.  In an attempt to synthesize our learning and experiences thus far and set up a channel through which to share the same, we want to establish a Child Rights Training and Resource Centre.  The centre will serve both to support and strengthen the many educational programs that Shaishav and other similar organisations already have in place, as well as to develop and expand our collective capacities.
